Survey Instrument Operator needed in Charleston, SC
Are you an experienced Survey Instrument Operator ready to join a growing, fast-paced and professional team? Bowman Consulting has an opening with our Charleston, SC survey team to work with top crews performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients. You’ll work outdoors to set-up and operate survey equipment, including total-station, data-collector, level, and GPS. The information learned in your math and survey courses will help you perform accurate survey calculations and ensure all equipment is calibrated and adjusted. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of stakeout and locations surveys. And if you’re a skilled and motivated Instrument Operator, you may also provide training and guidance to other crew members.
- High school diploma or GED required
- College or technical courses in mathematics and surveying preferred
- Minimum of two years’ survey or construction related experience required. Two to five years’ Instrument Operator experience strongly preferred.
- Familiar with field procedures for performing boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys
- Ability to work outside in all seasons
- Travel required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
